Shelley Rose, BA, RRP,

the Chair of CARP National Continuing Education Committee, originally hails from Nova Scotia. She graduated from Acadia University, Wolfville Nova Scotia with a major in Sociology in 1983. She has been
working in the field of rehabilitation, in diverse social and community services areas, for over 16 years. She spent 16 years in Alberta working with varied companies and organizations that work with people with disability and injuries. These included Workers’ Compensation Board of Alberta, Alberta Family and Social Services, Project management for HRDC programs, Lokken Associates as project manager, Alberta Vocational College, Edmonton, Alberta as an extensions Programmer, as well as running her consulting business. She moved to Victoria BC in 1999 to accept a position with Worksafe BC as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant.
She has been an active volunteer in many community and professional based organizations. She has been a soccer coach, baseball coach, President of St Albert Day Care, Vice chair of Parent’s Place in St. Albert Alberta, a volunteer Advocate for Children with Tourettes and ADDH, served as Vice President of The Friends 533 Air Cadets St. Albert Alberta and currently is a volunteer for the Times Colonist 10 K running clinics and teaches a walking clinic for Frontrunner’s, in partnership, with the community recreation programs in Victoria BC, CARP National Continuing Education Chair and volunteers with CARP BC promoting continuing education opportunities.

She has been a professional member of CARP National since 1992.
