Maria Howard, CCRChas been a member of CARP since 1997. She was an active member of the Rehab Review Committee between 2001 – 2003 and assisted in editing the variety of articles, which were submitted. She is currently a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant with the Healthcare Benefit Trust where she has worked since 1997. Prior to that she worked with the provincial government assisting adults who had psychiatric disabilities. Over the past 15 years she has participated in a number of community and government committees focusing on mental health issues. Maria has a BA from the University of British Columbia and a M.Ed., (Rehab) from Western Washington University. In her spare time Maria enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and riding her horse.
