Lucinda Socha, RRPhas been a member of CARP and had her RRP since 2000. During her 10 years in Parksville on Vancouver Island she enjoyed roles as an Employment and Vocational Counsellor performing counselling, case management, facilitating Job Clubs and Career Research programs and as liaison for the Job Opportunities Program. She moved to the mainland to start her current position as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor at Riverview Hospital. She is working with clients who have multi barriers with a primary psychiatric barrier while they are in hospital. She is responsible for case management; clinical liaison and bridging back into community services. Not only working at the hospital she also does some contract work in vocational rehabilitation. A True Colors Facilitator Level 1 for over nine years, trained Psychosocial Rehabilitation Practitioner and a Personality Dimensions facilitator level 1. She enjoys the variety of her work and the opportunity of meeting new and inspiring clients.
Since moving to the mainland she has been involved with the CARP- BC Membership and Public Relations Committee for two years. In the last year she has been the Vice-President and Chairperson for the May 2004 National Conference, a busy year. She is looking forward to 2005 and being your President.
